Betrayed Sarki Family now gets a Quake Safe Home

Chandra Sarki, a betrayed person of Chyama not only by the Caste but also by the poverty is a resident of Ward-2, Okhareni, Dolakha. Chandra Sarki is physically weak and has no job to do. He has been under immense web of poverty and could not properly connect his mouth and hand even twice. Chandra Sarki resides at poorly Constructed SMM house which even was a bit destroyed by Gorkha earthquake. He was quite anxious even to destroy his house as of to construct new earthquake resistant house because of his poor economic condition. 

Everybody, at Chyama, desired that his house should be constructed but no masons preferred working for him as they hesitated to eat at his home. Later on, after the completion of fourth OJT, the participants were encouraged by the mobile team and LRTC-Malu team to construct his house and they did it.

Sarki says he could not even sleep at night and what he does was counting the stars at night. He always blamed his fortune and thought of twinkling like stars. Sometime, he even could not count twinkling stars as cloud and rain created him hindrances by hiding the twinkling stars and this kept his family unsafe as water leaked via roof.  When the mobile team reached at him, he kept on weeping and lamenting that he had not fed up his children since a day. Everybody was emotional on hearing his sad stories.

The two roomed house of Mr. Sarki was built up by the participants of 4th OJT of Chyama at very low cost under the technical assistance and guidance of mobile team of Baliyo Ghar. The participants were found of not eating at his house as he belongs to low caste. They were boosted up by the mobile team for proper construction of his house. Finally, the house was built up by the basic components of earthquake resistance building and he is very happy to stay at it. Mr. Sarki thanks mobile team and NSET for their efforts and guidance.
